A Subscription Portal for Research Reports
A website where a publisher sells long research reports. Subscribers read them as web pages or PDFs and can search across all of them; everyone else sees only the title, summary and table of contents, plus a subscribe button.
Think Substack or Ghost, but for 30-page research reports instead of newsletter posts. The publisher writes in Google Docs or Markdown and uploads, and each report becomes a readable web page plus a PDF. The plan is to publish the code, so a publisher can run their own copy and leave at any time without losing reports, readers or subscriptions.
